What is the definition of close family members. Does it include my cousin. What about my father's cousin. He is close to my father and is ready to sign a legal affidavit stating that he is willing to sponsor for the study. Will this be accepted.

Hi..you need not to worry about OFC. Only carry DS 160 ( make sure printout have Bar code), Passport (old, if any + recent), Appointment letter. Other than these three documents you do not need anything, not even SEVIS fees receipt.

They will verify the details on your DS 160 from your passport and will give you a token number according to which you will be sent to one counter. On the counter the person(Indian) will ask you for your fingerprints of all 10 fingers on the machine kept nearby followed by a photograph and a question which is always same "purpose of going to US". After this he/she will handover the documents and passport back to you and will confirm that your process has been done and now you need to come for Visa interview on xx date.

Free Advice: You are not allowed to carry any bag or electronics inside, so if you are carrying them hand them over to some other person, otherwise you will be charged Rs 200 for a locker facility.
