    Post Toefl score for Ms in Us! (Cse)

    Hi all.

    I got Toefl iBt 74 ( R:16, L:20, S:18, W:20)

    Is this Toefl score is a good score or average score for applying to universities??
    Going to take Gre in the next month (Expecting 300+)

    My academics:
    10th: 83%
    12th: 88%
    Btech: 63%
    3 ppts, 2 posters, 2 workshops, and some extra curricular activity certificates.

    Please let me know whether this Toefl score is enough for me in applying universities?
    I want to pursue Ms is Cs.

    Some universities ask for TOEFL score more than 70 and they ask to take english course when u join there. My idea is to take IELTS. Most of the universities accept IELTS now a days and minimum cut off is around 5.5 -6.5.

    Are there any universities which accept my score, without asking me to take English course thereafter ?
    Please suggest me such type of universities for my Toefl score!!!

    Why are you worried about taking an English course if required? Don't limit yourself by applying to only those universities. Also, remember you can always take the test again and increase your score and your chance!

    Thanks for your inspiring words.
    This is the second time I have taken the Toefl.. That's why worrying this much.
    I dont want to retake for the 3rd time..
    I am having lots of questions regarding my admission to an University!

    1. Will this score is sufficient for me in getting into a above average university?
    2. Will this score effects at the time of Visa interview?
    3. How much money we have to spend for taking English course in the University?
    4. Can I take IELTS, instead of Toefl for the next time?

    Better to take ielts i guess, According to indian currency English Course carries around 6lakhs..

    VO will probably not bother you about TOEFL score as long as you can talk with him/her fluently; generally they don't even ask for the scores.
