Thread: Article: When to attend for Student Visa Interview

I all ready have my I-,20, college starts on august 25th, so i can attend register for visa by april 26 onwards, but i am still in my final year, i will complete by may 15th. can i still register by april 25th?

@cherukuri_ajay : I have got admit from UTA and waiting for decision from TAMU for spring intake. However, cant wait for the decision anymore for taking VISA. Is it possible that I can attend TAMU even after getting VISA on UTA I-20? If yes, then what will be the procedure.
P.S: I dont want a transfer after 1st sem. I am asking for the procedure to get my SEVIS or VISA updated with a different I-20 details before I start the classes.
Please guide. It will be really helpful.

Yes, you can still apply for the F-1 Visa Interview even without Degree\ Completion certificate. But, you will need to carry your Academic Transcripts for the rest of the semesters.

can I apply for the visa after the I-20 start date, like a day or two days after if I got my bank statements late before that start time on the I-20?

I hav been accepted to umich for fall 2017 and waitlisted to my favourite college. If i apply for visa interview with umich acceptance and if i get my favourite college acceptnce after that then can i enroll to the second accepted college.
