    Fall 2015 - MS in CS - GRE 321 - UG CGPA 8.93 in CS from NIT Kurukshetra

    Hi,

    Please evaluate my profile.

    GRE: 321 ( Q - 170 V - 151 AWA - not available yet )
    TOEFL: yet to appear for
    UG institution: NIT Kurukshetra
    UG CGPA: 8.93
    UG major: CS
    Grad interest: MS in CS
    Work ex: 7 years with Adobe, Microsoft ( image processing and data analytics )

    Universities short listed as of now are as follows.

    1. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign
    2. Georgia Institute of Technology
    3. University of Texas at Austin
    4. University of California, San Diego
    5. University of Southern California
    6. University of Wisconsin-Madison
    7. Texas A&M University, College Station
    8. University of Minnesota - ​Twin Cities
    9. Virginia Polytechnic Institute ( Virginia Tech )

    Also, please let me know if I have missed out any good univs.

    1. University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign- ambi, they generally accept IITians
    2. Georgia Institute of Technology- dream univ, its a research based univ,
    3. University of Texas at Austin- ambi, less chance
    4. University of California, San Diego- ambi
    5. University of Southern California- 50/50 chance, may get admit because of 7 yrs exp but very expensive univ and no funding at all
    6. University of Wisconsin-Madison- need gre>325
    7. Texas A&M University, College Station- need a better gre
    8. University of Minnesota - ​Twin Cities- ambi, dont apply
    9. Virginia Polytechnic Institute ( Virginia Tech )- moderate

    Thanks for taking time to provide feedback! I really appreciate it.
    Could you please suggest some good univs based on my profile for which it might be safe for me to apply? As i hav already spent 7 yrs in industry, window is really small for me to go for MS. This would be first and most likely last attempt for higher studies.
    I would appreciate your help.
